About
“Project 128″ — that is 150 USB sticks and a blog.
subnet has given away 150 USB sticks with a capacity of 128mb each. We ask whoever gets hold of a stick to put something on it they would like to share. A photo, a text, the address of a website, whatever people think the world should see.
Then it is their turn to pass the stick on, to whoever they want and in any way they like. The sticks travel from person to person, taking a piece of information with them each time. The holders of the sticks are asked to write on this website and tell how they’ve got the stick, what they found on it, and what they are planning to do with the stick.
The sticks are numbered from 001 to 150. The number of the stick appears next to the posts. This allows you to identify the stick the post is about. You can use the menu on the right to read the history of each stick, or just browse all posts in chronological order.
If you’re here because you received a stick, please read the file _README.html on the stick (_LIESMICH.html in german) or follow the instructions here.
If you did not receive a stick but want to participate in this project, you are welcome to post in the comments section of each post. You can do this without an account, but are invited to create one.
You can always reach us at 128@subnet.at.
